Why is it that no matter which direction you orient a cockpit, it will only view in the direction that the ship's core designates as forward?

As far as I understand right now if you are piloting the ship the only view point right now is forward. It is in alpha and changing the direction you face while piloting just hasn\'t been implemented yet. If it even will be.

The only way you can look the other way is by docking another ship core onto your ship with the turret docking port, I\'m not sure if the normal docking port can be rotated to look backwards, but you could still try it.

Well I just tried the turret docking idea for building a rocket (the cockpit facing straight up). In order to do that, the rocket body would have to be the turret, so that the cockpit facing up would control the ship\'s thrusters. Apparently there is no way I can get the docking area big enough to accommodate such a structure. Besides all this seems rather complicated for what should be simple.
