I'd say scale it down to a more practical size (makes finishing it easier).
And I came up with a 100% serious alternative design.
I'd put thrusters in the rear gap (center left) and bridge thing maybe where the thrusters were on the original version (where the additional vertical line is)

One can easily carry sufficient chambers to allow for different modes of use. You could have travel and combat modes by having the necessary chambers hooked up but not used save for what's situationally necessary. With the way fleets currently work, a carrier is unnecessary. If fuel and ammunition were a factor in deploying large numbers of AI vessels there would be a more compelling reason to create carriers.

I am intrigued by the idea of a vertical star destroyer, though I find the edited blueprint you've provided a less than adequate design. I do, however, understand your proposal and will likely take it into serious consideration.

Actually, if you are really into nitpicking, it is a Star Dreadnought or Super Star Destroyer. See, I can do that too. It is even stated that it was based on the Eclipse without the ridiculous nose hook.

The vessel's design is as the majority of my ships are - Imperial. Large, wedge-shaped, and (hopefully) bristling with weaponry, this time being reminiscent of the Eclipse and Eclipse-II Star Dreadnoughts
