Bug Problem With Mining

Right so when i login to a game (Any type Single and Multi) I go to mine to get money but when i use my salvage cannons I see blocks disappearing but i can't find the items anywhere checked cargo,inventory and belt am i just being stupid or is this a actual bug??

Did you check all the ship's storage blocks?

Ye I checked everything nothing ever there checked cargo inventory and belt to make sure i'm not messing up.
