Power Tanks: Bug?

If I put a power tank on my ship, the capacity only goes from 20,000 to 20,001. Even adding around 50 all connected still only added a little over 1000 capacity. Is this a bug or am I not doing something right?

At lower amounts, they don\'t contribute a lot. Once you start getting bigger ships, and bigger tank counts you will find that it scales massively high.
