Here's a suggestion for a change to the power drain weapon.
Change the power beam to a field in a globe around the power drain computer.
Adding beam weapon blocks increases the radius.
It's drain strenght would depend on the number of power banks on the ship
The power drain should affect both friend and foe around the ship.
It should need power to run (quite a bit), but also leech (part of) any drained energy back to the ship's energy reserves.
I think this would make for some very interesting designs. For instance, it could be used as an anti-cloak ship.
