    I have recently been accepting the challenge to build better ships. I have found that the blocks of engines are way to bulky to use for ascetically( think I mispelled that) pleasing. I have been toying with the idea of using a central large generator the having several smaller groups through out the ship. Any suggestions or opinions?

    Thrusters can be anywhere in a ship. In most cases (almost anything that\'s not a 5x5x5 cube) you want them in long straight 1x1xn lines that don\'t touch. Long lines are better than short lines.

    Many of these lines of thrusters can be grouped together so they only touch diagonally, which is safe. I call this design \"power spaghetti\" because it is kind of like a handful of uncooked spaghetti.

    In cross-section,

    X=Thrusters

    O=Empty/anything/POWAH MODULES

    You get the idea.

    So, it is probably better to put your engines right down the long axis of the ship right in the middle anyway. Many people use lava or ice to look like engines.

    If you are talking about power generators then you should see my post. I\'m too tired to re-explain it.

    If you haven\'t noticed, engines (for thrust) work exactly like power does for e/sec regeneration.
