Fully agree. I was just thinking this on my station. There are many times I\'m in my station and looking for a block, when I remember I left it allllllll the way over on my ship. :(. Docked ships should be able to move contents to your station more easily.

Teleporters (1-2km, not more) would solve the issue partially too.

I only worry about LAG. The game should

    • load only the active/used PlexStore
    • add names/labels for PlexStorages

increase the size of the drop-down-list at top-right of your inventar-menu to show these labels

[*]Provide a Tree-View like in your file explorer.

Maybe do http://star-made.org/content/inventarhotkeys-improvement to decrease the need of scrolling while searching through all the PlexStores.

Transporters could certainly be a good idea, but I\'m not sure how to implement that. Perhaps keep it modular as well? so that you could transport people but only as far as the field you built is? Thos could keep people from being able to just jump anywhere. Also, would you need to build two pads to incorporate this. This would prevent people from getting stuck, using it for boarding except for to your own pad, things like that. Otherwise you\'d have to worry about qualifying for faction, etc. This way, if you could only board pad to pad, you\'d have to

    a) Know where the target pad is

    b) build your range in order to reach it

    c) be able to cover your transporter room with a plex door, since if you have your base/ship factioned others can\'t use the door.

This would make it possible to defend your base/ship from random boardings but still leave it useable.

    Do you know StarGate Ringtransporter?

We already can teleport from core to core, but you never know which core is the next one.

Build blocks don\'t let you get to another core, but are a target. Also it disables AI.

A dedicated (1/2 to 2/3 sector)-ranged transporter system could be fun itself, make building (or have fun with) a large ship or base easier (you can skip some tunnels) and work from planets to orbiting titans too.

Stargate did it. Just give each one a code and select the closest one to some coordinate. (x/y/z = 0-250 (*10) in sectors)

You can also make Plex-Ships. That are small ships with 1 power generator, 2-3 thrusters and 3+ PlexStore. They are pretty fast and fit through 3x3 corridors if you build them in a 2x2x2 cube.
