Plex Lander docking weirdness

So i tried to dock at a plex lander but there was not enough space for the ship. Instead the ship docked what seems to be "the next highest point with enough space for the ship" - and outside the hangar, maybe 20 blocks over the plex lander block.
Imo it would be better if it just prevents docking in such cases with a nice "not enough space" message?!

From what I understand plex lander might be removed from the game... I personally don\'t use them because of all the problems. Once had a ship dock just like you\'d think it would, looked right. Came back later and saw it at a strange angle partially imbedded into the station. Couldn\'t reach the core but luckily when I removed a block to get to the core it updated its position and freaked out. Eventually after a few seconds of it shaking and pivoting it broke free of the station... I removed all the landers after that.
