I like that but I don't think it is possible with StarMade's engine.

IDs take 10 bits; HP 8; Orientation 5; Logic 1 == 24 bit == 3 byte.

For this to be possible, you have to define 3 block IDs per 2x2x2 blocks and give each block a 2x2 bit ID or something like that.
You can look into Off-Topic -> Void-Society if you are interested (My project which will be performance-optimized as a primary goal, not so much shiny-3D optimized)

That was brought up a while back. Long storybshort, to do so we'd need way too many IDs, because if they were both to be in the same block that block can only have that if it is one ID. It also would lag too much if people only used wedges.

it would just take up twice as much memory/performance so i don't see the real problem because ships would not need to only consist of wedges
