So yea I've been tinkering around with drone warfare now that the whole structure panel thing was released, and it's been goin pretty well so far. First I just made a small carrier that heald like 13 decently, shielded drones, that had 5, 50-80 damage cannons. I then deleted a couple parts off of that and doubled it's side and made a second story to it, as welll as adding plenty more shields, power, and 2, 500 damage, fast firing missle silos. I reoutfitted my Battle Drones and created the Battle Drone MK2, which had much more shields. Unlike the previouse one, although the core is still exposed because it doubles as a turret, the bottom is fully protected.

I haven't tested it against large ships, but instead I spawned 150 heavy fighters. I didn't unnattach the drones, seeing as though there wouldn't be any reason to since I'm already surrounded. In the end the carriers shields didn't get passed half way, and the swarm had been cleared out within less than 1-2 minutes

I find it strange that I don\'t see that many copperish colored ships here in the forums bytw it looks nice.

With most of my ships I try to give it the \'low budget scrapper\' look, or maybe white and black if I feel like getting fancy.
Also I\'ve decided to name it The Legate, because it\'s basiclly the command center for a ai powered fleet.
I think I\'m going to make an even larger verision with multiple types of drones. I want to make a repair drone, but I don\'t think the AI will use it as intended.
