yeah actually it will need at least 8 crew members to work at 100%
hangar bay management: 2 (48 activator is too much for 1 people when you have to go fast)
plexlight message & main airlock control: 1
lateral defense & offensive systems: 1
    damage management: 1
    turbolift monitoring: 1
spacemines control: 1 (& drones control if there is only 7 crew member)
ground intervention systems (I don't know yet maybe launchpod or other things): 1

other crew members (not right now but when the ship will be fully finished):
    10 repairs engineers
    20 marines
    =~ 70 pilots

    total =~112 Crew members

*listen to gone forever and the last stand by audiomachine*
I dream of a day where people won't apply for a server but will apply to be a crew member of the Heldtech Damocles , uss enterprise, maelstrom (hell yeah :p) , Charon, unsc infinity, etc
I dream of a day when there will be giant shipyard on giant planet with city around , rookies going inside gigantic spaceships and having their own room knowing their only intimity will by inside those few squaremeters with just a bed and a chest.
soon they will know the hell of the dogfights against a lot of enemmies , but they will feel no fear because they swore fidelity to their faction... and when they will be back they will be ready to avenge their fallen friends, brothers, comrades...

    update !
all hangar bay are almost finished with animated door !

corvette hangar (it's always by number of 2 as I used symmetry) :

    heavy fighter hangar:

    heavy corvette / multipurpose hangar

    fighter hangar:

    and the door animation :

only one hangar door is a double door with the animation like ine the video , I didn't finished the other doors wich have a simple one-door animation , I hope I will have time to finish the doors before the trailer :)

Very nice, I like the two stages of open doors. Extremely simple, yet perfect use of logic.

Ok, I am amazed. The first reason, because this ship is very well made, and actually needs a crew!

The second and most important, is that audiomachine was mentioned.

@jstenholt thanks , but the doors have 4 stages AND you can stop the door to a stage (so you can have half closed door as example)

@Izikiel thanks , I usually listen to audiomachine and two step from hell when I'm building :p

I started to build the 8 heavy turrets (but I end up with a turret too small xD)
also here's a video showing the turbolifts, as you can see its "slightly" fast x)

    the new stats:

    mass: 987 027.8
    thrust: 891 095.2
    energy: 3 558 926 995.6 regen: 43 469 988.5e/s
    shield: 28 568 991.0 regen:3 345 683.0e/s

You do not build simple automated doors?
    area,door,area
    controller->button->doors
You just need 1 area trigger per 1m with * 2 sides 1 block above ground.

hey man, I build CPUs don't you think a can handle a simple automated door ? x)
I'm just working on more important things :)

p.s: by the way you don't just need area, door, area but also a rising edge detector to reset activator

I made my maelstrom warp from sector 2,2,2 to 16,16,16 using huge warp gate !!
    that was FREAKING AWESOME !!
I even recorded it, the video will be uploaded in around 2 hours :D

I'm sry the video is in french but if you want to see the Maelstrom warping go at 6:20
(and there are also warps with a little spaceship around 10:00 ^^)

Impressionant!!! J'aime surtout le fait que le vaisceau garde la même velocité à l'entrée et la sortie des portes. En passant, 40 million de power regen???? Ce n'est pas l'énergie qui doit manquer hahaha

    Ps: no, I didn't use google translate : P

    tu parle français ?
ouais c'est tranquille coté énergie xD , je peut utiliser toutes mes tourelles + canon et missiles lateraux + tir principal sans être en manque d'énergie ^^

p.s: I just had to read the first 5 words to understand that you weren't using google trad , your french is almost perfect ! :D

You got a lot of letters wrong. So many that I can't understand you :p
Calls for Bad Spelling !!! :D

BTW @takethispie why did you warp sidewards to your destination? :p

Even though my mother tongue is french, I tend to make less mistakes while typing in english. Go figure!

And he warped sideways because the orientation and velocity is apparently kept when you warp through a gate, which is absolutely amazing!

Keptick made only two little mistakes, bad spelling check would find only one :D

awesome ! I think it's because written french is harder (really, it's a pain in the ass xD )

velocity being kept is great but orientation being kept isn't a good thing because you're not supposed to be sideways when you warp, you should be like you are going out of the gate ^^

@keptick @takethispie erm guys sorry to break up the budding bromance but back to the tread plz, I like what you are doing but I strongly object to the use of blue lights in the hangar, I get that you might not want to use Ice crystal so why not use varat instead, but using the lights makes it seem broken up, also will you make a thread on how you make these cool logic circuits, just for people to post their ideas and how to's on logic, that would help everyone.
