Pirates Factions and there growth

    I would like to see pirates broken into multiple factions, and have each one advance from a small band of pirates to huge fleets of doom.



    Each faction would start with 4 captains, and a small starbase.

    Each Trader they kill and loot would give them 100 faction points and 50,000 Credits

    Each Player they kill will be worth 200 faction points, and 50% of the players Credits

    Pirates can demand loot to stop attacking for X amount of time, and or cargo.



    The pirate captains would gain ranks based on the # of kills and credits



    Pirate captains would have a Dislike list of the last 5 players to Attack them

    and a Hate List of the last 5 players to kill them. (Removed if pirate kills player)

    And a fear list - for a player that has killed them more than X# of times.



    There would be ship list for each faction with a cost (like from the catalog)

    At each rank up the pirate base would upgrade to bigger base.

    Each faction has a relation list of players/ Factions



    Attacking a Pirate ship gives you -50 relation points

    Killing a Pirate ship gives you -150 relation points

    Attacking the Faction base gives players -500 relation points

    Destroying the Faction base gives players -10,000 relation points

    giving in to the a demand for cargo or credits +10

    Paying a protection fee +50 relation points

    Contracting a Hit +50 relation points

    Killing a Hated Player +5 relation points

    Killing a Trader Ship +10 relation points

    Killing a feared Player +35 relation points

    Paying for for the pirates to Raid a sector +50

    Attacking a Hated Faction +15 relation Points

    Destroying a Hated Faction bas +100 Relation points



    If a player has +100 Relation points they can com a pirate ship and Pay for Protection (X amount of Credits per day/hour) to leave your ships/bases alone



    At +150 relation players can put a bounty on other players “Contracting a hit “


    At +500 Players can pay the pirates to raid a sector.

    Sounds like a good title idea, but I am not sure about some of the specifics

    I would propose instead of the XP system and stuff, which in a single player universe might not work since there are not many sectors loaded at once, just make them get stronger the longer the universe exists. If there is a way to check for multiple players have the pirates get stronger faster for each player on the server. Up to a cap, configurable in the server settings. This would require significantly buffed pirate ships, not just the ones I\'ve made and put into the catalog (especially since 1/3 are turrets and 1/3 are block ships).

    At the highest level of pirates boss ships could start appearing, or maybe you could get quests/missions from shops to go destroy the boss ships.

    Being able to be almost neutral with the pirates is neat, I befriended the pirates in the X3AP universe for fun.

    Thats exactly how I would do such an relation system.

    @Jcewazhere:I hate the Idea to punish new players with stronger pirates.It should definitively get handled differently.
