    Hey all,

I'm trying Starmade for the first time, in single player, and I've been enjoying it so far, except for one frustration.

The planet I've set my home on, pirates keep coming by. I try to fight them off, but their ships just jump all over the place as soon as I get close. It's acting like I've seen lag act in other games, like the ship's there one second, the next second it's moved way over somewhere else. I can't shoot them because of this. As soon as I get close, they disappear (well, move somewhere else)

During all this, my framerate stays high, in the hundreds.

I've got a pretty fast computer, so I don't know what's wrong. Any suggestions?

    For reference, my machine specs:
    Windows 10 Home 64 bit
    QuadCore Intel Core i7-4770K
    Asus Z87-Pro motherboard
    16GB DDR3-1333 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti (6 GB)
    Samsung 840 SSD (512 GB)

this is a known issue with entities on planet sector borders, their rotation gets translated to their position and things go wrong. it's not a fault of your computer, it's a known issue with the game.

If need be, as it is a StarMade bug, and they are causing problems but you are unable to destroy them, can you just the /destroy_entity command to delete them. (Just a fix if they are causing issues for you gameplay wise)

Oh good, then I guess I probably don't have to worry about them getting to my factory and destroying it? I assume that's something they try to do?
Is there a list of known bugs like this somewhere that I can check before posting? I looked for one pinned to this forum but didn't find one.

Once they cross the sector border and actually get in to the sector, then they can and will attack you.

    Pro tip:
Making sector size bigger from server.cfg makes this problem occur less often. (it works in single player too)
The bigger the sectors, the less the chance of meeting entities at a corner of a sector.
I use sector size 4000m for this reason.
