This seems to be a major issue near planets if a large ship is caught within the gravity or a structure is nearby. Framerate will drop down to about 1-3FPS making the game unplayable until the ship is either removed from the gravity or the player is far enough away that gravity calculations aren't being made.

This has been a long-standing issue with the current physics engine, and I\'m not really sure if there is an easy fix. It is probably best to give any information you can to Schema.

    Here are the numbers that I get With a 16670 mass, 201m x 57m x 66m ship.

    Physics#:
~1.0 or less in space/95+ FPS
~1.0 or less in ship gravity/95+ FPS
~30.0 when nose over planet (half mass, no collision)
~50.0 when nose collides with planet (half mass)
~300.0 when nose and core over planet (no collision)/3-12FPS
~900.0-1200.0+ when nose and core over planet with collision/1-3FPS

This needs to be seen, I\'ve crashed so many times flying my 1.8mil block ship near a planet. Even SOMETIMES flying my smaller cruiser near my giant ship lags to 1fps.
