Phasers traveling slowly

When traveling quickly, Such as 120, 140, 150 Kmh, Firing the phasers causes the sound to be muffled if audible at all, And they barely, If at all pass infront of the ship. I would assume these lasers would travel much faster than a ship, But if they are just traveling at about 150 Kmh, They could easily be outrun on any server which allows this speed.

Plus, It isn't really very realistic, Even a gun shot travels faster than 150 Kmh
