Personal weapons

    Well this has nothing to do with ship weapons but on hand weapons for the astronaughts so lets cut to the chase.

    I think it would be cool if you could build your own assault rifle or handgun maybe even rocket launchers to shotguns right down to the look and handling.

    I doubt this would be implemented but i think it would be cool if anyone would like to refine the idea go ahead.

    If you doubt something like this would be implemented then you underestimate Schine :D

    This along with many other options have been discussed. Astronaut features wont be showing up until there is a reason to include them so it will likely happen after fauna is in.

    Actually, devs like the idea of player constructed weapons. It's been discussed for literal years within the community. Personally, I'm hoping the actual "building" part of building astronaut weapons would be aesthetics, but reaching certain dimensions would allow you to add different modules. For example, a weapon might need to be a certain length to gain a Sniper Cannon or Sniper Beam module.

Personally, I'm hoping the actual "building" part of building astronaut weapons would be aesthetics, but reaching certain dimensions would allow you to add different modules. For example, a weapon might need to be a certain length to gain a Sniper Cannon or Sniper Beam module.
    Maybe even assault rifle or a shotgun and to store have gun racks which show your guns would make a good decor item and a great storage item

    I would love to have ship style voxel construction of infantry gear - both weapons *and* armor. But it'd need to be possible to destroy an astronaut's weapons and armor for that to work well at all.

    Well i think if you die or something the weapons become inoperable

    I see no reason that would be necessary. They'd be like current weapons, only customizable. Destroying them would add little to the game and a lot to processing load.
