Ever accidently pressed r when flying about in your ship and ended up in the void of space with your ship flying into oblivion never to be seen again?
This has happened to me twice and it can mean flying to a shop 2000 metres away at 1 mile per hour praying your ship doesn't go off the radar and that you can still reach it.

Simply place the block somewhere on your ship and you will be prompted to enter a name for the block. One a name is entered an item will appear in your inventory linked to that specific teleporter. (The teleporter doesn't stack as you only need 1). Once used (Press r to use) the item will instantly transport you to the block the item is linked to. This means you can teleport between diffrent areas of your ship as well as from your ship to a shop or your base. Shops also sell the item version to teleport to that shop for a sum of money.
Pressing r on a teleport block seperate from the one it's linked to will link both blocks together and destroy the item. Pressing r on the teleport block will transport you to the other block in the link. It is possible to have a network of teleporters this way.
