Parts of planet disappearing

A few weeks ago before Thanksgiving I was bulding a cathedral on my planet. The next week I went back onto starmade and found that part of my cathedral was missing. It looked like I hadn't even built it. I fixed it and thought nothing of it. I was annoyed but it didn't seem like a big deal. For the past week I have been adding to that cathedral. I had been on this morning and everything was fine. This afternoon around 5:00 I went back on and found several large holes in my planet. They were big cubes of the planet that weren't there. A good deal of the work I had done for the past month was also gone. Not completely but large parts were missing. So my questions are 1. What is going on? 2. I have a backup from before the problem so where should I look for it? 3. and once I find the data how should I put it back into the game. I don't know if other people have experienced this problem but it might be likely.

I have been getting a message saying that I need to increase the memory for Starmade. I don\'t know if that has anything to do with it but it could.

And I have another question. I play on a single player server. It is just me. When I close starmade does the server stay open in my computer? The first time this happened there was a planned power outage so we unplugged the computer. When I came back this problem occured. The first time. Today there was another power outage (Not planned) so if the server stays open after I close starmade the data could have been corrupted when the power went out. I don\'t know if this is true but my dad is a software programmer and he said it was possible. Please give me some awnsers soon because I don\'t want to do all of that work again. It took several days.

Its ok. I\'m building the whole thing as a ship so I can export the file and keep it safe. That should work. I just wanted to bring up this bug.

I had a similar issue, I run a large faction and our home planet is quite ornate, The missing parts wern\'t like buildings went unfinished, but rather my work was undone, I had random sides of buildings revert, not into nothing but into a stage of construction windows went missing and were replaced with blank walls and such. I also found lights I was using in the road dissapeared but not the road itself.



this is definately a bug, and it based around work done in an area, lights in the road, where I built buildings would dissapear, but only in that area. these lights were in the road for months but still dissapear, while other blocks remain. I also found weird shit like only lights going from clestial south to clestial north dissapeared but lights along the x axis didn\'t. it was very strange and I talked to schema about it. I find it only happens with planets too.
