Here is the list so far... I plan on posting pictures of the asteroids for easier identification


Planets

Desert: Orangutanium, Exogen

Earth Like: Plextanium, Vappecide, Quantagen

Mars Like: Plextanium, Quantanium, Succumite, Octogen

Ice: Plextanium, Vappecide, Quantagen, Octogen

Alien (purple): Orangutanium, Exogen, Octogen, Extranium


Asteroids
Dirt with lava core: Plextanium, Vappecide, Quantagen

Dirt with ice core: Insanium, Extranuim, Metate

Stone with lava core: Awesomite, Octogen, Orangutanium

Alien (purple): Negate, Insanium, Quantacide

Stone with dirt core: Awesomite, Exogen

Rock & Sand: Vappecide, Quantagen, Orangutanium, Extranium

Ice: Cenomite, Extranium

Or you can kill pirates and go to shops.

This is for servers where you cant buy them (or most things) from the shops and killing pirates is a more challenging task. SO mining is a must, with that the location of what ore is where becomes relevant.

Have you found any correspondence between the type of planet and the atmosphere color?

Yeah

green atmo is a purple planet

Red atmo red planet

blue atmo ice

yellow atmo is earth like

and white atmo is desert

Weird. Suppose it\'s random then, since I\'ve made my home base on an Ice planet with a yellow atmosphere... :I

It gets a different color based on sunlight, yeah I know it\'s quite confusing :P

I mine planets constantly and types always match up. I have only seen a few planets change color and i believe it is a bug. My red home planet for example changed yellow.

All temporarly unloaded planets (and such \"not loaded\" situations) appear yellow for some time, depending on the server/PC load, and order, and such.



That is why you get to see ice planets as yellow, mars planets as yellow, etc.

Yeah I finally located an Ice asteroid but I have only found one type we still have yet to locate the infamous Negate or Metate XD. Its either really rare or non existent.

I slavaged both from asteroids or planets already. But that was before i started my notes on asteroids. But Metate was the last mineral i ever found which would support the \"rare\"-theory

I finaly found some Metate from a dirt and stone asteroid they have an Ice core rather then the lava core. They seem to be a rare occurance
