Hello,
so the fleet update got delayed.
but not evryone just wants just a ship leading one fleet.sometimes you want some escort ships following another ship that this ship is following me.So its an orbat.
for example my attack fleets follow this:
-1 Battleship(the command ship)
-2 Destroyers(as escort ships for the command ship)
-2 carriers(in direct control of the battlecruiser)
-4 destroyers(as escorts for the carriers that is in direct command of the carriers).
-1 special ops ship that carries boarding partys
-8 AA ships
-2 battleships
-8 cruisers.

I'm a little confused as to what is being suggested here Serge. Is this your ideal fleet? Or you're saying you want more options in regard to assembling fleets then you believe will be implemented from what you have heard? Please elaborate if able!

I'm afraid I don't really know what this thread is getting at either. Do you mean having a more complex command structure to fleets than one flagship, x-many other ships under its command, instead arranging the fleet into sub fleets, each bit commanded by its own sub-flagship?

If so, I sort of agree. I don't really see much point with having different AI fleets outrank each other, but I could definitely get behind splitting fleets into groups. This would make commanding a fleet much easier, as you could for example send separate orders to say, your fighter group and bomber group without ordering each ship individually.

Are you suggesting that fleets be more structured? If so, I wholeheartedly agree.
Are you suggesting that fleets be confined to a certain setup? If so, I disagree.

I do like the idea of a more complex setup but the idea of having a Fleet period is extremely cool.
