On the Topic of Turrets

    So you I make a turret. Give it a BOBBY AI. Set its faction. Set the AI settings to (Any,Ship,active)

    And sometimes it will shoot pirates, sometimes it wont. I set it to (Any,Turret,Active) and again, somtimes it does sometimes it doesn't.



    Is there any sort of true way of doing this without fail?

    Correct setting should be turret-active. Mayby it\'s a range issue, or Your ship is obstructing turrets fov. Or (most likely) alpha-version bugs. Be lucky U\'r turrets dont detach randomly xP

    Probably distance.

    You can manually fire and hit from a long range. But the AI seems to use the built-in distance in the weapon\'s stats as it\'s maximum range that it will start firing at. So if the distance is set to 100m, and you\'re at 101m, it won\'t fire. Also, it\'s from the distance of the turret, not the tip of your ship, not from the core of the main ship, it\'s from the core of the turret.

    While you\'re at it, note that I\'ve not gotten the BB missiles to work. They are meant for locking on, and that\'s probably not happening with the AI.
