I've been building some small and medium size ships and now I think I want to try with a big one.

My [null] creative mind needs help and I decided to start with a reference and them, try to make it more "personal". This is my concept art reference by Artur Fast:

Today I've started with the upper part, only sketching the sizes to have an skeleton to work with:

I'll post updates as soon as it shapes.

Thanks for the comments. np5k54, I don\'t really like to make very big ships, it\'s maybe small for some starmade \"standarts\" you see out there.

A little bit of progress today, i\'ve been busy shopping for wedges to make a recipe, I\'ll need a lot:



There you can see the height of the main body of the ship. But it will be higher on the front and back.

The upper part it\'s nearly done (as sketch, detail will come later), only the front part is missing, and then, I\'ll close the bottom. Image:

So many time since the last update. I\'ll have to add another pic another day because I\'ve finished the sketch and I\'ve started to detail it.

Ei guys, too many time since last day I\'ve been working on my cruiser. Not so much advanced, but I want to share with you the new parts.



As you can see, I\'m finishing the rear part of the ship, with the lateral motors detailed.

A little bit more, very slow pace, but I can\'t run (and the interior is not even started :S),



As you can see, we\'re advancing to the front part of the ship, more or less in the middle part, and I\'ve added some detail to the bottom black part, added wedges, etc. I\'ll surely come back to this part to add some detail, too many grey now.

The detailing is quite nice.

Here we are again. Today the \"first pass\" has ended. All hull was replaced by hardened hull and all the wedges were placed. Some detail was added, but from now, I\'ll start to detail it more in the outside part of the ship. For a thirth pass, the inner parts of the ship will be done.





The front, for the first time, it exists.





And also the rear part. The bottom of it may change to become an hangar, I\'ll have to think later.
