Noob Question #2 - How to align ships with dock

Hello everyone,

I am a noob at this game and have lots of questions but one is now really bugging me. My friend showed this game to me yesterday, he had been playing a while but he seemed to be able to shoot a white beam (While in a mini ship) towards the docking area, the ship would then automatically teleport over to the spot he clicked with the white beam. He is playing on the burning amber ship, I've tried everything, I even used the warp drive accidentally which I didn't know existed. My second question is, I've seen youtubers click buttons from inside of ships and at a distance how do I do that? Sorry for so many questions today.

docker, hotbar, use it.

the beam they used, is by selecting the docker in the hotbar, and the useing it with a click. aim that beam at a rail hardpoint and you will teleport-dock like you said.

while it is selected it will also make any "pickup points" (a new docking system) show up in your HUD, if you want to use those you "crash" the docker into the floating nav marker. I doubt this part matters to you at the moment, so jut file-away in the back of your mind.

Ok thanks, how to I change camera views and mount a camera on. And my second question above.

arrow keys left/right change cameras, arrow up/down changes entities(eg, to turrets or other docked ships)

I recommend you hit Esc, and look through the game controls.

I did and count make sense of some of them. I meant how do I setup cameras do I just place them on the ship?

inner-ship remote, logic block. connects as usual to other logic. it's in the name hotbar-binding menu as other hotbar blocks once you place it.

You can ALSO activate logic blocks & doors by selecting the "core" in your hotbar and using the core-beam on them.
