No installation found

I downloaded the demo through steam onto my Linux(Ubuntu 15.04) pc. If i launch the game through steam the launcher opens up blank white and then closes after a moment and the game never starts, If i manually run the jar file in the steamapps folder the launcher opens and loads, but it says "no installation found in /Starmade". Clicking the repair or force download buttons renders another error saying "the install dir is not a directory."

Any help would be appreciated.

yes, i can run the launcher, it just says the games not installed when its open

I have no experience with ubuntu, so unfortunately I am unable to think of anything else. I'd say delete the whole dang thing and re download the launcher and try again.

Try downloading directly off the Starmade website.

I downloaded the linux starter file and it does the exact same thing "no installation on /Starmade". I also downloaded the latest build and that just refuses to start, nothing happens.

the folder where your starter create a new empty folder called "starmade" then try again and see what happens.

That's... That's weird. I've never seen this before.

In the launcher, top left corner. Open the installation settings, and change the installation path to "~/StarMade" If that does not help, resolve that path manually and enter the resulting absolute path.
