The Player only see the Names Ship and The Designer.

When the player clicks on the ship in the catalog it brings down all the models and the lastes benckmark with a check box to say when completed

Yeah, I like this idea. It would also be nice to be able to save space stations.

So, you\'re suggesting a version history for ships? I like it! I don\'t particularly care for naming every new ship revision either, so a system like this would be very useful indeed.
