New Launcher with Steam won't recognize old install path

As thread title says, the steam version of the new launcher won't recognize my old install path. The downloaded launcher does, for it asked for your path when launched first time. When launched from Steam, either I missed it or it doesn't ask. When going into options and inputting the path, it doesn't recognized the java executable, nor is there anyway to tell if it's saving the new path.

Not game breaking, I can play my old worlds and blueprints through the downloaded launcher, but no link to Steam.

Are you making sure that the install path set is where the StarMade.jar is? Also, after inputting the path, you'll most likely need to click the update button for it to check file statuses. Take a backup of the directory, just in case.
