new gamemode idea

    there should be a new gamemode introduced called "Wave" and what the gamemode is about is that it causes all players to spawn in a basic station that has damage to it before they spawned in and what they have to do is defend the "reactor" in the center of the station from the pirate invasion.

    every 30 minutes the players is allowed to build on to the base and can go gather supplies for it to.

    every 10 waves a pirate titan comes and acts like the boss of the mode after every 10 waves it does become stronger with every 10 waves.

    there is a option for the advanced shop npc to call for back up that when you use it 5 ships from the trade guild spawns and helps out with the pirates but the button needs to cool down for 5 waves and the ships only get stronger by a 1/2 every wave.

    i know some peoples computer (like mine) cant handle massive ships and tones of AI but the ships don't become bigger there states are increased X2 every wave so there wont be 50 ships when you get to wave 20 it just makes the ships stats stronger..

    when the reactor core gets overheated the whole server resets and you start from wave 1

    While some people might enjoy this idea, I hate it. The sort of wave defense game bores me to death, particularly with the lack of creativity that revolves around it. If you could come up with a more creative way to have the gamemode work, then I might actually enjoy it. But for now, I hate it.

    Good mini game, not so good as a game mode. This is something that's better suited as a mod, not as part of the core game.

    I'd actually would neither make it a mod nor game mode, but one of the possible events happening randomly in the world, once there'll be more default factions, NPCs and so on.

    Border stations at the edge of some faction's territory being regularly assaulted by enemy forces (and repaired if defended sufficiently) player may help assault or be hired for defense of (or be forced to defend if they were building their station just next to the edge of territory of some great pirate clan), merchant ships getting escorts to fly through dangerous areas while being harrassed by pirates positioned on their trading route and so on should be just a part of the universe further down the road in development.
