There have been some posts on this subject before (check the damn forums). Basically if the main aspects of the game such as COMBAT, RECIPES/FACTORIES, and PLANETS/ASTEROIDS/PIRATES/ETC. are still being fleshed out, it is rather useless to focus on the details. Expect more blocks specifically designed for this in the beta, Minecraft took how long before getting upside down stairs, and carpets?
