Need help with turrets

Today i tried to build a ship with turrets but when i launch the ship the turrets fly around and don't stay on the ship.
What should i do?

Well this can have all sorts of reasons. Some might be pretty stupid.

Can you post a picture of the ship and the turret, prefered a picture taken when in the shipcore (in buildmode) so the docking areas can be seen.

Are you making sure you have them docked? It can be real easy to accidentally press the docking beam twice and undock the turret, but actually remain in place near the host ship, thinking you are still docked.
