Hello everyone, APR here and I'm here to report that I am currently working on a NCC 1701D USS Enterprise. The Saucer is near complete, I would like to know some feedback before posting pictures/or donwload on the ships area.

How can we provide feedback without seein what you have done?

For the sake of irony, I think it looks terrible.

It\'s kinda... well... square. I get it! Making ovals out of cubes is a very wierd thing to try to accomplish. Let me share with you my secret ingredient: http://donatstudios.com/PixelCircleGenerator

This utility is my best friend and boon companion when working on federation ships, particularly the saucer sections. Use it to help define the top and bottom arcs of the saucer by taking the top of a very large oval. Do that side to side and fron to back so you have two intersecting arches. Then take the measurements from the blocks you\'ve just placed at each layer from the horizontal plane of your disk. Feed those measurements back into the tool and you\'ll get an oval cross-section of the hull at that layer of the model.

It\'s a lot of work, but ultimitely a lot less hassle than trying to eyeball a bunch of blocks into a 3 dimensional curve.

Don\'t forget to tip the author (who is NOT me)

    utility.

However, personally...while trying various combos to get an 11w 11t circle, I preferred this to what that utility suggests - Granted it has a bunch of angles and is probably just as flat-sided in the end....but still.
