    We already have a block called radarjammer, and it is quite effective. Think of getting 10-30 seconds of no enemy turrets shooting you in a battle, it is a huge advantage.

    Love the scanners the most, perhaps you might be able to locate planets and shops aswell from a further distance? Or perhaps some form of a planet scan, so you can see the percentage of ore or what not. Just something to think on.

    All actions (weapon fire, thrusters, etc) add a signature to sectors, which get weaker over time.

    Each sector has a byte-mask of signatures. Just 32 bits / 4 bytes (per sector), enable 16 values (4 bit) for 8 frequencies, or active systems.

    If every 2x2x2 sectors can have 1 radar station and only the ships from a single player within 4x4x4 sectors with best sensors (on this frequency) are used, it is do-able without lags.



    You could trace a ship path through sun systems and are just blind in the outermost 1-2 sectors. Good for interceptor AI and to simulate open space.

    Great ideas. I\'d like to incorporate e-war debuffs to target vessels with maybe some type of minigame or subsystem that a second player inside a ship could use (like a dedicated e-war specicalist or something). Would encourage crew members on ships and create cool new effects for battles.

    EMPS sound a little overpowered

    Maybe have them be only a lasting effect, or something that can be shot off/ targeted by turrets

    Maybe some sort of EMP type weapon, slave only. No damage, but shuts down systems for a certain period of time. So EMP mines, pulsars, cannons, beams, and missiles. No slaving it with anything else, EMPs only have a chance to shut down a system, based on what fraction of the ship is the weapon.
