My Screen went black nad now I can't see stations or ships

So I was trying to build a gate last night, then when I exited the build my screen went black but I still had my central hud circle. Thinking video crashed etc I logged out restarted pc and nope, now I cannot see any entities.

this should be my station, one of the big brown ones heavily modified with 3 ships and multiple doors etc.

I have done a full install (my game is through steam if that helps)

total Reinstall of the game and java
Only seems to be effecting my server (but noone else on the server it seems)
I cannot make a new ship, the core does appear in space, but not for me, I can see the blue hud icons but not the core itself!

The issue is isolated to the server not to the sandbox
noone else on my server is having issues (I was the only one on at the time)

errr ok (it's washed out as I can't remap steam's screen shot key, but you get the idea)

ok, I think the issue might be that the station is now corrupt! I have been able to get some palces to load and have secured a ship I had stashed on a planet!

is there a way to fix or identify if a file is corrupt without loosing the ships or stations?

oh looking through the list of stuff in the world0 on the server I cannot find my stations name!

Try clearing the client cache? (Tools menu from the launcher's Connection Setup dialog)

nope still not working, and I can't work out how to delete this sector / system
