I'm learning as I go along, and have been trying to build ships as legit as I can (no spawning blocks).

My first effort was based the ship design on the AI ships I found, though I built it from the ground up. I'm still modifying it because it turns like a whale.

I'm building a larger carrier type ship now. It's definitely not complete yet (no forward section and the viewing deck is incomplete) but most of the interior is complete. My first ship can't fit inside but it can dock on the underside :P It's taking forever to get all the blocks together from the various shops/factories.

The larger ship is not very powerful yet, and I keep redesigning sections of it. I'm using it to test out stylistic elements and plan on doing a larger warship later. Haven't built any smaller fighters to fit inside the hanger yet :-\ If anyone has some cool little ones I could download that'd be great! This one is consuming all my time, lol.

Wow, the second ship looks awesome.

And a little tip, if your making them in single player, buy the blocks you need then type the /give_all_items *name* *amount* and it will give you that amount of items.

your better off just ussing something like \'/giveid \'

there is also a tool you could use for this, called \'id finder\' verry helfull but you could use a list instead as _ or spaces are not reconized

I wanted to build it as legit as I could... though I did use the /giveid command to give me powertanks. I could not find many of those and apparently you can\'t make them either :P

I\'ll post the carrier for download when I get it finished :D

The hallway goes down the length of the ship from the hangar in the back to the incomplete forward section. There\'s also a closeup of one of the engines with the in-progress viewing deck on top. All the red blocks are there just to protect the interior from pirates while I work :P

Hey there, just a tip: use ice crystals instead of blue lights, they are so much better (but expensive, if you try to buy your stuff. Salvage them, you get like 3k crystals on one planet)! And try to modify the bridge of the carrier, its a bit.. awkward. :)

Everything else is really nice! Would love to download the smaller ship, I\'m still trying to find a nice design for smaller ships like salvagers/drones.

are now cheaper than lights belive it or not, in my game ice crystals are around 800~1200 ish while lamps go around someware 2000~3000 for me, thanks to the update. but they would still look nicer whit those, and blue -er too.

I tried using the ice crystals instead of the blue lights but I did not like the effect, so I put the ice on the side as a kind of \'energy conduit\' feel. The softness of the blue looks good, too, I think.

Nearly the entire outside is hardened. I\'m not 100% happy with the cockpit, but I made and remade it so often that I\'m not even sure what would make me satisfied :P

It\'s a smallish ship (Artemis-class by the Nameless ship class naming) made for exploration and observation with a hangar for 3 fighters and a smaller shuttle. It has no weapons aside from the turrets you can see on the back end. I used it for testing out building methods and styles, really, and plan to make a larger ship later on.
