My BattleStar Galactica Project

First iteration of my (slightly modified) Mercury class BattleStar with a pair of Mk II Colonial Vipers.

Testing out the turrets on a few pirates.

Working on a much bigger, much better, much more acurate and detailed BattleStar... I'm also working on a Colonial Raptor, Unsure if the combat varient or not yet, and the flight pods on the new ship should fit aprox 40 vipers and 10 Raptors. Aswell as the pods the new ship will have full internals, space for crew and fully working and accurately placed turrets and main battery.

I will be ocasionally updating this thread and if anyone wants to show off their BSG ships feel free to post.

Im finished on the Vipers and the Raptor.

Just testing colours, i would like to introduce..... The Clasic Raptor!

Finished the first design of Cylon Raider, Im working on the Heavy Raider at the moment..

Set the raiders as the only Pirate ship, time to go Frak up Some toasters.. I plan on building a base star at some point in the holiday (BattleStar Takes priority though).

Faction Base is finaly done (Modified Station for times sake) Center name in the hanger is the name of my custom Battlestar im designing in Blender ATM.

Also finised a protoype of the legendary Colonial Blackbird, aswell as the view of my hanger with a sneek peak of a Colonial Styled Light Gunstar I'm working on along side the Massive BattleStar.

Could you possibly put up downloadlinks for the ship saves? Really love them so much :D I tried making the big ship myself(like 2 ship xd) but i havent gotten the hang of it just like you But very nice ships!

I will upload the Blueprints ASAP, at the moment im having an [IOException: Stream is closed] error whilst trying to upload files, for the moment i will keep updating this page as the project progresses and will put links to the blueprints as soon as I resolve the upload problems.

This Battlestar looks beautiful. It is very well detailed for its size, and the larger one looks like it might as well be a perfect replica of it. I cant wait to get my hands on this. It would be so much fun to get my friends together and fly around. A Basestar would be horrifying to run into if you made it pirate. I would hate to be flying around and running into one.

Good luck on the larger scale, and good work on everything else so far. Finally a Battlestar that actually looks like one.

Impressive detail!
The large one seems like it\'ll be big enough for a full crew of 2,000 people. :P

May I recommend that for the large ship you have access tunnels to the main guns so people can man them from beneath, and potentially exit the turret safely too? A ship of that size would be an amazing faction base, assuming the shield gens can keep up with multiple Base Stars firing on it, so let\'s give people something to fire while they\'re lacking a ship

Thank-you so much for the support so far guys, im really glad for the praise, but progress the last day or two has been slow due to sorting out my college courses for next year, I should be back to full speed by the week-end though.

I know it was asked already and you had had trouble with it, but could you throw up a DL for the smaller one, or maybe just the Viper(s) and Raptor(s). It would be fun to run around in them and mess up some Cylons.
