From a first glance, I am honestly surprised about the drastic improvement in quality, server paradigm and staff maturity. Looks like a complete replacement of what I saw as the "galactic playground" of the server landscape in the past. Looking at the G+, especially your contributions plusnine have been state-of-the-art (and apparently, more than that, given these texture packs and mechanics additions). Praise where praise is due, and you have earned it.

I too am now considering joining at some point in the future, even if I just place my 1-man-faction station in some remote place of the universe like I always do.

i would encourage you to. i hope you will be shocked at the number of people who play here who care nothing for feuds, and who only want to play, build, and have a good time.
Truth right there (Maybe even turth)

Plus really put a lot of time and effort into this, and from the results so far it seems to have been worth it.

Never been banned, much less posted on THE MF g+ in the first place. Thanks for the response though.

Gotta say that playing on the new universe is quite enjoyable compared to the last few - mostly because there actually are "things" to do besides spawn in my best ships and fight people with them. Can't wait for the first big fleet engagement so I can take the Executor out for a spin :D

Lol. One of the unofficial mottos of the Fleet is "Don't take this so stinkin' seriously!"
Plusnine's work on the new universe (and all those who helped contribute) is just another example of what's been going down on MushroomFleet all along.

As for that maturity issue you mentioned: Everyone has 'that guy' - we're no different. That said, certain people left us last year and took most of that immaturity with them. Thank the Lord.

Join us in our quest to have crap tons of fun in our own unique way. Rainbows indeed. :)

    November 6, 2015
    PATCH NOTES
Launch week has been a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who has come to check out the new economy, fought the new pirates, added to the shop, or started making plans for how they want to spend the season!

The explorer's league challenge got underway, and you can track progress on that on the leaderboard at spawn. So far SzaboMartonD is in the lead with 6 massteroids, but Deadpoolzy and AdmiralViztastic are right on his heels with 5 and 4, respectively.

    • Updated to Starmade V0.19476 - Transporters!
    • This update also brings in asteroid respawns, and with it, some changes to mining. The asteroid respawn timer is about 8 hours (1 play session) so you can use that as a guideline for when your richest asteroid sectors may have respawned. Because of the way asteroid respawning works, we have also slightly reduced the bonus to "rarer" asteroid typer like Larimar - You may want to contact a clever explorer who has identified some prime systems! I will be looking hard at this mechanic's implications for the current individual-mineral based mining bonuses and be adjusting them accordingly in the coming days, so you might want to hit that Larimar while it's still hot.
    • You can now break Deltas apart in a Microassembler for 80% of their component Mesh and Crystal.
    • Redesigned the spawn station to alleviate lag in crowded areas like the shop.
    • Shogunate Joe's shop now stocks Transporter Marker Beams for 100 Delta each.
    • The spawn shop has a public teleporter. Please dock large ships away from the shop and teleport in from now on.
    NEW QUESTS THIS PATCH
    • TRADE / BUILDING
      • QUEST: Open a functioning transporter shop at spawn (200 Delta reward)! (Congratulations Bogdan for winning this event!)
      • QUEST: Open a shop selling Gold Standard and Rust Advanced Armor (200 Delta Reward)
      • QUEST: Repaint Magrathean Buddy Shuttle (10 Delta Reward)
      • QUEST: Repaint Magrathean Gremlin (100 Delta Reward)
      • QUEST: Open a flower shop (100 Delta Reward)
    • EXPLORATION
      • BRONZE LEVEL: Make 5 massteroid discoveries (100 Delta Reward)
      • SILVER LEVEL: Make 10 massteroid discoveries (200 Delta Reward)
      • GOLD LEVEL: Make 15 massteroid discoveries (500 Delta Reward)
    • PIRATE COMBAT
      • Bounties earned from Symtech Pirate Emblems increased to 5 Delta each.
    • SECTOR PROTECTION
      • You may new use Explorer Llloyd's Beacons and logbooks to purchase sector protections from plusnine's Kiosk at the spawn shop (11 Delta total for the beacon and logbook), my time is, as always, free.

Server's back up and running! See you in space, effendi.

    Things to look out for:

    • Transporters and beacons will behave differently than they did last patch.
    • Changes to AI spawning may change which and how many Symtech Pirates you run into, and how they respond to attacks on their stations. Be careful out there
    • Congratulations to Crashmaster, who has won the first Explorers League Challenge in this stealth explorer, the Greyhound:

The Magrathean shop at spawn is now stocking PN-FONT packs with characters from 64-512 in count of all the letters, numbers, symbols and borders, balanced for usage in the English language. We're also gearing up to get our Ninewerks Vendor Mk.II into production, which will be the way to go if you want to make a living selling blueprints that require mixed denominations of Deltas! Information for how to sell your ship designs on commission will be forthcoming, so stay tuned, traders!

Some stuff to think about for upcoming content:

    • Explorers:
      • If you're discovering alien monuments while looking for massteroids, make sure to note those coordinates down for yourself! They'll be valuable later.
      • The grand prize of 25,000Deltas has been claimed by Crashmaster, but the runner up prize of 10,000 Deltas is still up! Anyone who completes the challenge will receive 5,000 deltas this season.
    • Crafters and Miners:
      • There's a standing 10 Delta bonus for stocking the spawn shop with anything it does have in quantities of 10,000 or more. Watch for weekly special bonuses!
    • Bounty Hunters:
      • The more powerful Symtech corvettes may already be appearing in the universe. Look for the next set of Symtech Baddies to be forthcoming.
    • Builders and Designers
      • Spawn City will be expanding soon, so we'll have more than just a market district for you to dock ship-buildings to.
      • Start thinking about what ships you think the universe needs on sale: From more types of mining ships, exploration vessels, pirate fighters, cars and shuttles, we'll have showspace for your creations and vendors where people can buy your designs for deltas. You'll be able to work on commission. Charge more for fancy paint jobs of existing popular ships, etc!
      • plusnine is looking for an enterprising interior designer to assist with Symtech Pirate Station interior features.

New changes for players this as of Friday, November 13, 2015:
    • Players can now break their high-value Deltas into small denominations without the need for a change machine using the "Craft Basic Factory" option in their player inventory.
    • Prices have been raised on all sidearms to Delta 10 at MF-Outfitters.
    • The Spawn Point has been simplified.
    • The Shogun's expansive Citadel City is now available to players via the gates at spawn and at each Barony Hyperspace Gate.
      • Citadel City is a shuttle-only zone! Ships in Citadel must be able to fly entirely through the available Citadel City gates. Ships in the city must be comprised of no more than three (3) entities, including the parent ship. A shuttle shop will open soon to sell high quality vehicles for players to do their in-town business.
      • If you accidentally spawn something too big in, you will be asked to leave via the Shogunate Exit Gate (which will return you to the spawn point), or have your ship deleted. No exceptions.
      • Two new Delta Markets allow for a choice in where you'd like your shop to appear, and should reduce frame lag caused by display blocks for players with less powerful computers.
        • Each marketplace also has a set of public capsule refineries, Delta compressors, micro-assemblers, and 250x Factories in the MF Gear (purple) branch.
        • Three other branches of player shops are now available: New (red), Trusted (Yellow) and Verified (Green). Verified shops are, as before, turned in by players and checked before being added. Trusted Vendors shops have been longtime vendors, or have been checked but may have a small discrepancy like an alternate vending mechanism shape, or stocking errors that make them otherwise unqualified for verified status, but players can shop with reasonable confidence that they are getting what they pay for.
      • Players may not add new gates to Citadel themselves. Gates found lingering in the space between the Shroomiverse Galaxy and Citadel are likely to be eaten by a Grue.
      • Other upcoming features of Citadel City include:
        • Faction Embassies
        • Bank/Mail Center
        • Shuttle Sales (players may sell their work on commission)
        • Player-driven Blueprint Sales
        • PVP Arenas like King of the Hill and Spathi Basin
        • Something else? Got a great station you think should be a part of Citadel? Upload the blueprint and leave its name on a logbook with a note to plusnine at his Kiosk at the Explorers League.
    • The Hyperspace Gates surrounding the spawn point have been destroyed by Symtech Invaders. Barons will need to re-establish the connections on their large gates to one another, or to new gates purchased from Shogunate Joe in Citadel City.
    • There have been sightings of Symtech Light Destroyers out in the Shroomiverse. With their brazen attack on the Spawn Point, how long before the Symtech Scum start claiming entire systems for themselves?

    Onto the pictures!

    Shogunate Season 2:
Patch Notes for November 23, 2015

The server will upgrade to StarMade v0.19498 today. Here are some some new features on the server to look out for:

    • We want to continue to provide high uptime and a good place for people to play and execute their vision. We are thrilled with the stability of the server for the first month of Shogunate. Patch-wise We are estimating to run the server at least two weeks behind Schine's release schedule for the remainder of the Season. Never update until you've seen one of these posts!
    • plusnine's Default Pack Extension for Servers and Clients is now the MF: Shogunate Season 2 Resource Pack. I was hoping to keep the pack something that would only add on to an existing StarMade installation, but lack of available custom IDs has forced me to cannibalize some deprecated block IDs to keep our custom hull colors as full-featured as the vanilla hulls, and pray that Schine doesn't utilize them before Shogunate Season 2 ends in February. The practical upshot for Mushroom Fleet players is that you'll get some extra nice features as a part of the pack to personalize your experience when you play with us on Mushroom Fleet. The pack will only be verified to work on a single version and build of StarMade at a time, so regular players will need to download a new version of the pack this every time we upgrade the server to a new version. For our many players who play on multiple servers, I heartily recommend maintaining a completely separate "play StarMade on Mushroom Fleet" installation folder so you can continue playing on all the servers you enjoy playing on.

    Changes to Hulls and Armors:

    • All the custom hull colors have full slab sets!
    • Slate Standard Armor was made pretty redundant by the addition of Dark Grey Armor, so it has been retooled as a Hull set, which now completes the PN-Blue crafting chain.
    Better Item Stacking

    • Since having to cart around a wallet tended to reduce player inventory size, and I was already deep in the block config to create slabs, I've also taken the opportunity to create stacks out of items that are related to help make your backpacks feel bigger. items like power, shielding, computers and their related systems all stack. So do like colored lights, all kinds of things!
    • If you are using the pack to build in single player using creative mode, you'll notice and even more pronounced difference in your ability to scroll through item sets.
    • There's also a new splash screen.
    • Logbooks will default to empty.
    • The set of classic StarMade tips have been replace with some that pertain specifically to Mushroom Fleet server.
    Changes to Citadel City:

    • When you're in Citadel, align your shuttle (press "C") to face north on this map!
    • Shops sometimes move! If you can't find what you're looking for in Shop A, try Shop B!
    • Players have already started adding some homes and buildings to the residential lots.

    • The new mail and banking center has already become a hotbed of messaging and offline sales! Stop by and leave a message for a friend!
    • The Explorers League is now located here.
    • Players will need to buy a mailbox (10 D) or build one to spec for themselves to participate in the Explorers League or to receive shop bonuses, building stipends and sales comissions.
    • Player services like sector protection can be done by mail just like before: just leave me a logbook. Be sure you sign them!

    • The Shuttle Sales Lot has been up and running for a week now, and it is totally incredible how many awesome player-made shuttles are available there. Get around citadel in style!

    • Wolfe's Liberty Gunship is the feature ship at the Blueprint Sales lot this week. With a limited run of 5, this one is destined to be a collector's item! Get yours to personalize today! It makes a great warp ship to get you to the Citadel gates.
    • You can also purchase popular mining ships like the Trufflehunter, Wedgey, Imp and Gremlin on the lot, and see the models before you buy.
    • The lot is looking for player-made additions to our lineup of miners, pirate-killers, station-raiding specialists or duelist ships? Got a good clean save of them in a blueprint? Mail it to plusnine and work on 10% commission of your set purchase price!

    • More new stations and shops are being added to Citadel all the time! Look for the grand opening of Milliways after I've slabbed the living buhjeezus out of the furniture!
    What's on the Horizon?
We'll be hosting some Symtech Combat events fighting the full might of their fleet sometime after the Thanksgiving Holiday.

    Thanks for playing with us,

    ~plusnine.

    from Google+

After many years of free service MushroomFleet has provided a world class public Server for all whitelisted members to enjoy. I would like to personally thank each and every one for playing with us. We believe that shogunate season 2 was the pinnacle of what we can achieve offering players a deeper and enjoyable game.

After a year of seeing interest dwindle we wish to end the Server on a high note. This weekend I will tour the server to catalog everyone's work. I encourage everyone to save your work immediately. The shogun is sadly leaving this dimension and with him goes all his manifestations. The universe will cease to exist in a few weeks. The corrupted will be released on Sunday.

Again thanks to everyone on the server and remember this is just the end of the public Server. The teamspeak and G+ remains open.

We wanted to run on until January however there won't be anyone on hand through the holidays so this means this weekend is the end date for the starmade server!

    Happy Holidays!
See you in the next Game(s)
    Tomino

I am sorry to see the season end early. I would also like to thank everyone who pitched in, filled players blueprints and answered questions, fought pirates, built shuttles or added shop and other things to Citadel City. I have really enjoyed the change of pace and opportunity to have us all build things beyond just ships, and everyone has more than met my expectations.

I will continue running Citadel City services until closing day for anyone who wants to keep playing. I'll keep us on the v0.19498 release and current configuration until that time, and re-evaluate what to do with the custom resource pack after my holiday travels once I see where Starmade is at with their recent patches at that time.
