Multiple Weapon Groups

    Can someone please tell me the up-to-date formula to calculate the power consumption of multiple weapon groups linked to the same computer?

    I'm not sure, but if I remember correctly it's 20% more power per group over one. I could very easily be wrong though.

    Cannon & Beam: 10% per additional output.
    Missiles: 2.5% per additional output.
    Pulse: no penalty.

    2.5 or 25%?

    'Cause the 12 output missile array (I think 200 or 300 blocks total on the outside) on my newest frigate is pretty small for something with 1.8 million power, and it eats about a million in a single bite. And I mean small--none of this boat is built to the community size of capital ships and capital ship weaponry.

    Sounds like you are also using overdrive, or alternatively a 100% slave missile-beam array.

    I added overdrive after, yeah (which is why one shot sucks down nearly 80% of my capacitor banks)--I expected the near-depletion after that, but the raw missile-beam array (which was I think 12%?) was still gobbling a TON more power than I remember from a few months ago when I built the Eagle missile boat.

    Missiles use a lot of power themselves. This came about after the new damage system for them was implemented. overall they deal a buttload more damage, so power usage was also brought up.

    Is it (( 100% +25% +25% = 150% )) for 3 outputs?

    Or is it (( 100% *125% *125% = 156% (+1/4%) )) for 3 outputs?
