Most efficient power reactor pattern?

    Here is a good visual of what is, supposedly, the most efficient design for power generators. You can fill in the empty space with anything, they used shield dispensers.

    It\'s about half way down the page under \"Efficiency in numbers\", though I suggest reading the whole thing so you understand how you can possibly scale it up if you wanted to do so.

    That\'s not a texture pack. That is the original textures for the game. And yes, it looks awful. :P

    Just build a really long straight line, then add a really long straight line to the right, left, top and bottom and you will have the most efficient reactor.



    If you have very limited space, only then you will need/want a reactor pattern. Patterns will almost always be less efficient than lines of generators.

    Rule of thumb is:

    Build the longest lines possible in all directions. Their shape doesn\'t matter too much. As long as they don\'t connect with other lines that are in the same \'\'box\'\' you are fine.

    Wait so, If I make a large checkerboard pattern, should I make sure they never ever connect at the end or beginning?
