I wanted to launch fighters off of my carrier. when the ship is moving at lets say 10 then i detach the rail, the fighter has no speed. Then the rail, if the rail is moving forward, the ship is moving forward, the fighter should have the speed of the speed it was traveling with the rail plus the speed of the ship so the fighter would be launched. i think it would be pretty cool

As far as I know, you could have a push system that would allow for launching off rails. Even though this is more annoying and tedious, it works and is very effective.

i still think this should be added as a low priority thing. drones m8, when they are in a hanger they crash into the back wall :/ kinda annoying having to setup push effects.
