Missions and Quest System

    Hello all! I'm Shadss, and while my experience with the community is minor, I have had a lot of fun with the game itself, having space battles and small scale faction wars. However, I've noticed this game is lacking a serious feature for large, multi-faction, war based games that should really be a necessity. Which brings us to the topic of the post itself, "Missions".

    So what pops into your head when I say the word Missions? Aimlessly wondering around the universe doing fetch quests for NPCs to gain random amounts of EXP, followed by hours and hours of rinse and repeat. You see, this is something I personally DO NOT want, and I'm sure a lot of you would rather not have that in the game either, you see, what I had in mind was something more of a 'Mission Board'. You'd get a new tab, a tab titled 'Missions' in your inventory, next to your Faction tab, and clicking this will bring up a large screen full of various titles of missions given to the player BY other players. In the top right will be a light blue tab similar to the drop credits tab that reads 'Create Mission', allowing you to create your own missions and the like where you'll be allowed to post a Name, Start Date, End Date, Credit / Item Payoff (Optional), What the Task Requires (Such as killing another player, mining 20,000,000 Varat Crystals and giving them to ____ , Etc.), How Many People Can Take The Mission At Once, and if it's Faction Only or not. If multiple people take on the mission at once, you can also select if it's Multiple Pay, or not, which will pay anyone who has the mission once it's completed, allowing for faction wide missions and jobs.

    I personally think this would be a big addition to the game, and a rather simple one as well. It could help factions immensely, and allow for things like bounty hunter factions if a 'Private Mission' setting would be added as well. I hope you think the same as me, and maybe we could get this added.

    Love the idea, no doubt it's already on their list though, like so many others.

    Player-made missions: Yes!
    Game-made missions: No slow escort missions!

    To replace escort missions, maybe make a mission like "Go to sector X and destroy asteroid/incoming flight group Y before it can intercept and destroy broken-down barge/cruise liner/damaged warship Z. I get hives just thinking about slow-cruise escort missions. *shudders*

    Agree with that statement.

    And I would like to see some NPC missions. We don't have XP, so there isn't any level grinding, but NPC missions might also give results like alliances with NPC factions, or a free station somewhere in someone else's territory (since those cost FP)
