Would definitely like to see an option to target multiple objects.

While initially testing a mining new carrier design that has a 64-drone capacity, I dispatched just three drones as my first test of the new sector mining command. I too was sad to find all three barrelled down on the same pitiful spit of an asteroid. One of them also refused to demolish it at all and just sat there watching his two cronies do the work for him. All three were admin loaded from the same blueprint so I don't think it was misconfigured either.

Needless to say, my 64-drone mining carrier may have to wait for the game to catch up a bit, I'm afraid.

To be honest I have a 60 drone capacity one but atm it only has 20 and I was not happy how they operated.

Another thing is even escort ships with no salvage array will also attempt to mine and get in the way of actual miners. So either only issue the mine command to valid ships would be a nice addition as well.

Also, can we get drones to automatically recall whenever they are full?

Something like this would be great to do via logic, at least have the ability to get signals out from fleet commands as well as using logic to issue commands. Hook up some storage logic to a control block that issues the dock command when it gets a signal. Of course expansion of fleet orders and fine tuning out fleets is much needed.

Yes, but the drones might not fill up at the same rate. Recalling all the drones when one gets full is a waste of mining time. Also if your mothership is full, letting your drones fill up their own storages means you can take back the most materials.

EDIT: Also re: logic from fleet commands, I came up with an idea.

I would hope you could give orders to specific ships as well as fleet. Issue a command on the mothership, that command goes to all ships. Issue the command on a ship, only that ship gets that order. So storage gets full, activator goes high, ship issues it's own recall order and returns to the mothership. The mothership empties the drone and sends it back out... of course this not only would require many bugs to be fixed but a lot of new features added.

I don't imagine this would be hard to do from the fleet control menu, or in coding really. Consider this suggestion requested :)

My one ship with One drone , when i AI ordered them to the next sector. started to go to the total opposite direction and needed about 10 or more min. to get to the ordered sector. It also happened, they got lost in an unload sector, where they just stopped. It was a while ago , as for now i can´t say much , as i didn´t test the drones lately.
