Map question

When you press P the galaxy map opens, but when I zoom out I only see one galaxy and not multiple as in the Starmade trailer, how can I let it show multiple galaxy's?

Or is this not possible?

as far as I know it is not possible as I have never managed to do so. I have never traveled to another galaxy so maybe its due to the fact I have never found one, and so id didn't appear on the map?

It is possible, there is a setting on the options menu to have the map draw multiple galaxies.
Warning, it WILL lag your game when opening the galaxy map.

It shows a 3x3x3 square centered on your current galaxy with that option on. I think the galaxies are all on a grid.

In my tests it only shows other galaxies once you've stumbled over them.
