    Space stations should be able to be moved either by ramming, or by logic controlled thrusters. I don't like how you can't move your station. Even Star Killer Base, the height of evil engineering was mobile.

    You can make factories on ships.

    Imagine the lag if a whole planet-sized station collides with a moon-sized ship.

    I just think it is unrealistic. Like if I'm in I 300 meter long ship and I ram a pirate station beta at 220 m/s it should move a little. Like ramming asteroids.

    Station=stationary

    Its also unrealistic that we can build spaceships out of 1m³ solid cubes and nobody cares.

    And how you want to declare faction territory without something FIXED in that territory that is owned by the faction/ need to be destroyed to reedem the sector from the ownership of the faction?

    I don't know. How do asteroid space stations work? Hey! That's how you work around this. Just make asteroid stations.

    And one time your station got stolen.
    You find it enclosed by enemy turrets in a big big cube out of shield-protected rocks

    Okay but they could steal a regular station that way too.

    This has been requested many times before. And you're right it is odd that they can't move when they would in real life. But then this is a game with limitations on how realistic the universe can operate. Why they would be fixed. Personally i would like movable stations, but then i like not having devistating lag. Making the game more unplayable.

    I think they shouldn't move like ships do, but the abbility to realocate them would be nice. For example have a System on a ship that can disasemble a station and reasemble it somwhere else with lots of time and resources needed. Just so you don't have to spawn it new.

    Edit: Now that i think about it again, respawing a station is totally an option, if you have a 100% security the systems (logic) are gona work. Nontheless we need a better system how to spawn stations anyway, better than bam! station spawned from blueprint.

    Actually it should be limited to stations that are not a faction home base.

    I know but the Death Star was a space station and it moved.
    This isn't a matter of it matching other science fiction media, its a matter of balancing and it actually working or not.
    Secondly, the Death Star was technically a really big ship that was called a battlestation.

    Stations aren't unrealistic given we have satelites which can't leave the orbit and travel to other stars in less than a year.

    why make a station to begin with if you want it to move?
