Make Pirating Profitable. Add a location people have to go to on a regular basis.

    No, i simply do not like the idea of every single twat ingame being able to easily attack all traders.

    I for one would be safe in my capital, but traders? In freighters? I doubt they would enjoy being prey every step of the way.

    Do it the way trade ships in every other scifi series do it.
    Mount turrets, focus on shields and speed, fly in a straight line so any kind of dodging on their part turns into a distanceincrease, and if you\'re s big enough target that capships would even bother with you, fly with an escort frigate.

    Generally not even freighters and salvagers are completely unarmed, so pirates get to decide if it\'s worth attacking based on possible loot count and how badly melted their cockpit will be after the fight.

    Yeah. I suspect that also most freighters will be NPCs in a convoy, and therefore more difficult, and possibly escorted by a ship that may be piloted by a PC.

    You see, in the game, the tiniest fastest ship can contain several BILLIONS worth of loot.

    You only need 10 plex storage to suck up virtually everything,

    Protip: Its not the difficulty of finding freighters, ITS THE FACT THAT ANY SHIP CAN BE A FREIGHTER.

    Have shops spawn in big clusters. Stalk clusters until you find people.

    No need for fancy concepts; everyone needs to visit a shop pretty often.

    Back when shops still spawned in walls; I could find people by following those walls. It\'s still time-consuming but it\'s faster than it is now.

    If people don\'t want to get attacked by me, they can head to other clusters.

    Or they can make good trade ships. The Tartaran Empire has a trade ship that kicks like a goddamn mule on crack and steroids..

    We have Y Holes. They are a Banned Class A Substance.

    The cost of Y Holes can be as high as 100,000 per unit at some back street Player Shops.



    Of course the Y Hole should not be taken by anyone, as it is bad for your health. Anyone caught smuggling Yholes will be boarded and searched. Known Yhole Traders are Kill on Sight.



    but Pirates don\'t know anything about the Yhole trade. It\'s shrouded in Mystery.



    Y Hole Refineries are Regularly destroyed by the Imperium as per Pan Galactic Laws.

    They have affected many people on the server. Either greed for money or getting sick from the use of the drug. Imperium is indeed cleaning up refineries and tend to forget to keep the evidence making it harder for us to catch these damn smugglers!

    We believe Malin Roi may be involved in the trade, but we have yet to find any solid evidence of this.

    I smuggle yhole, and no to that dock thing, im getting sick of this un invincable, why cant I make a station, 2 ships, 4 small turrets to defend my base and keep campers away, or personal enemies out, and build big without a worry while buy and trading with other players.
