This is something I've noticed a lot during my building, whenever I have two separate symmetries going on, they kinda blot out the actual thing that I'm building. In a building game this doesn't really make much sense.
You should be able to see where the symmetry is, but the current opacity just doesn't really lend well to removing visual clutter. It might also hurt that I have a lower end rig (running on my laptop). So lighting effects on the build (and/or lack thereof) likely hurt as well.
In short, I kinda get lost when I'm building sometimes.
I would appreciate if there was a way to lower the opacity of the symmetry indicators. Or better yet! have the option to just straight up remove the indicators once we've set them. Clarity is good, but clutter can be damning.
