This has happened to me so often, I lost track of the amounts of unfinished ships drifting around my base. I still have two or three half finished titans laying around somewhere...
What I do, is to take a few hours off of starmade, and do some other stuff. Losing inspiration is basically burning out on a build. For me it works as follows:
- When I build like, 5 hours straight, I can get amazing amounts of things done, but if the project is too large for me to finish in one go, I usually end up abandoning it, or putting it on hold.
- Whenever I build in short bursts, I almost never burn out, but the designs always end up a bit less good as they would be if I worked as hard on it as I wanted to.
As for tips to avoid the Builder's Block;
- Stop building for a while, and do some other things in starmade. Or just not play starmade for a while. What fuels my inspiration; how bad I want something.
- What helps a lot (for me) when trying to get ideas or you are out of ideas to further build, is to do something SO BORING, you really want to play the game and build that thing you wanted to build for so long.
Again, these are things that work for me, so you have to find out for yourself (mostly) what works best to prevent, or combat burning out on inspiration.
