This tool of mine will be useless to most, if your StarMade is working fine, get out of here.
To all those, who can't start a singleplayer game, because the game tries to connect forever, I have the tool to check what the exact cause is or is not.
If you run this tool, it will ask you which port it shall test. Unless you modified the "server port" setting in the launcher, just enter 4242.
The tool will then respond with a message stating either "Test successful, no errors" or a message containing the error. However, you may need to wait up to 10 seconds, especially in case of timeouts.
If someone from support referred you here, just give them the error message this tool shows, and it'll help them solve your issue.
