either a way to move logic wires or to choose if you want them visible or not.
sometimes it can be really annoying to have a ugly wire that messes up the overal look of a ship.
but also sometimes people use the wires as decoration, thats why configuration and not deleting from sight.
for the moving wires, fairly simple, in build mode you can click a wire and drag it, then if you click at a different point of the wire and drag it you can make corners and such
an other nice extra would be more realistic wires, small and thin.
its not like 1 signal that is either I or O needs such a big wire.
smaller wires would look nice as inside decoration.

I like this idea. There is this one spot on my ship that this wire just sticks out like a sore thumb. I had to put in a button block in the middle just to move the wire out of the way. It would be allot simpler if I could just turn off the visual effect or move the wire.

Alternate idea: turn off the link pipes outside of build mode. Reactivate them if the logic block is linked to a light stick. This way, reactivating it for decoration follows the devs' general desire to use blocks and linkages to create ship features, instead of a single, inflexible on/off switch.

If the light sticks are already used for logic in some way, maybe something else small, like paint blocks or y holes can be linked to restore the pipe effect in non-build mode.

Maybe be able to link the small object type to the core to restore all link pipes.

And if light sticks sound appealing, maybe make multiple links possible, to create your own color-flow animation pattern. (E.g. Lit Red, unlit white, Lit Green, unlit green, lit black, lit white creates this color pattern: red, black, green, black, purple, white.) The benefit to this link array idea is that you can use logic to alter the pipe animation pattern in real time. It may need to be limited to only two light stick slaves, but altering the pattern in real time would be interesting and fun decoration without using up any additional block IDs.

having a hard time understanding this, but if i am right, you want to make it more configurable with light sticks.
this is exualy the second part of my thread, small thin wires that you can move, nice for decoration and not so huge.
i did know that an on off button was a simple 15 minutes to make option. we all know schema wants stuff as configurable as possible.
moving wires and making them invisible is one of those things.

I don't care how to deactivate these wires. Using wirless-logic (on the same entity) for this would be also ok for me.

But give us an option to deactivate them :schema:

Even though I actually like the wire in some situations, I do agree that we should be allowed to disable it at will for certain blocks. With anything, if you bring attention that this is a problem, people will work towards fixing it, even if it is not Schema.

lol are you saying that if it isnt fixed by schema a mod will come by with a fix? :D

No, I'm saying that if Schema does not do it, it is possible for another very dedicated user to create it because it is in demand.
