Light slabs would be useful in a variety of situations. They'd be a good investment in block IDs.

Light slabs would be incredibly useful, simply for helping make interiors a bit less cramped feeling when your building a smaller ship. Ideally it would be great to also have slopes that transfer from slabs to full block so that the transition is smooth instead of blocky.

In the mean time, I fake light slabs by using 3/4 slabs for the ceilings, which leave 1/4 of the light block sticking out.

Makes it look like fluorescent office lighting.

While we are busy suggesting this, maybe use those old docker block IDs for some of them? Stations are getting re-fitted now anyways.

That actually doesn't help my issue. I need a light built into a 1/4 meter thick ceiling. I can't make the ceiling thicker because it won't fit in the shuttle bay anymore.

There are a few more materials that will get slab variations. I am sure lights could be one of them, but keep in mind that is a lot of new slabs for each color.
