    so we all know, since this game is in alpha theres not much to it yet. and the combat imbalace is only excuseable because alpha. massive shield blocks make a ship invulnerable, armor/layered hull is useless, hitting the core a couple times can bring down a million block ship etc. so i used my imagination to make my own balance in this game mode that is made specifically to make a fight last, let armor be useful, shields not be OP beyond reason and ofcourse look cool as hell.

    rules:

    only offensive power allowed is AI turrets

    your ship must be big enough that the AI wont miss too much
    (i.e. dont just make a flat rectangle and turn the thin side to avoid being hit)

    block limits:

    as many standard hulls as you want to use

    800 hardend hulls

    1000 mass limit or 10k blocks (turrets included, so you better lrn 2 m4th)

    2 groups of 6 d1000 (2 d1000 launchers made of 6 blocks each)

    6 groups of 24 AMC (6 cannons made of 24 blocks each)

    231 shield blocks (450 regen/sec)

    54 power blocks (18k regen/sec)

    48 thuster blocks (600 thrust)

    keep in mind these are all limits, not requirements. i.e you can have 4 groups of 20 AMCs instead

    turret specific limits:

    no more than 6 turrets, you can have multiple weapons per turret
    (i.e. 2 AMCs and a d1000)

    the turrets shields are seperate from the ships,
    so the turret shield limit is 175 regen/sec

    no more than 2 layers of armor on a turret
    (this and the shield limit encourage smaller turrets)

    turrets can be any size (as long as they can fit a weapon)
