What about making power generation a little less limited?

this is the plot of current energy generation formulae. As you can see 2*10^6 is almost hard cap for energy generation per ship. I suggest to use a bit more soft-capping nonlinear formulae, something like y = sqrt(x) (just example):

so it will be able to give little advantage to smaller ships and won't cap ship sizes so hard.

P.S. As I know, cap was quite difficult decision, sorry for raising this issue again.

The "hard" cap is still a good idea while the game is in alpha, once players start using fleets in combat(when the AI gets improved) and the building of bigger ships, starmade becomes a game of who gets disconnected first, so putting some good limits out there to deter players from building to big is a good idea.

On the plus side its in the server config if you want to bump it up from 2mil

The formula is perfect the way it is.
(( Maybe not perfect, but very close to ))

The only problem with it is, that it does require 110 blocks for a 100m long line (stick a few additional to it) so that you can bend lines slightly without losing anything because of it.
